Staff Qualifications
At Castle Care we have a close knit team of 12 staff in total. The Manager is a qualified Registered mental health nurse and the 11 support staff have all received training so that they may carry out their job efficiently, and provide the best possible care. External training has been arranged with HSC consultancy based in Caerphilly who will deliver elements of Induction (CIEH Accredited).
All support workers receive training in:
- Safe administration of medication
- POVA – Protection of vulnerable adults
- Manual handling
- Care Council Induction Framework
- Health and safety
- Mental Health awareness
- Mental Health First Aid
- PBM (positive behaviour management)
- Effective Communication level 1/2
- NVQ training In line with job requirements
Staff Experience
Our staff are expected to attend training courses on a regular basis as and when required in order to maintain consistent high standards of care provision. Staff will also attend policy and working updates within the organisational framework. Staff will undergo a rigid recruitment procedure ensuring that they hold current and relevant qualifications in line with their job description.
